Glenn McGrath has been added to the squad after Marcuss did not let me change my mind to put Salith Laminga in.
Right, ok. Basically I sent Marcuss a pm about who I wanted in the draft and it had Lasith Malinga behind Shane Warne. Marcuss then said Eds + Shri + Gazza take Lasith Malinga. I then said "Nah, we will have McGrath". Marcuss then told me that McGrath hadn't played any IPL games which I hadn't realised. I asked if I could change it back to Malinga and he said no.
Why would not playing any T20 games affect a FC performance?? Seems harsh on Eds but I would like to see Marcuss' side as something appears to be missing in the story
Nah basically since Eds had locked in his pick we started discussing it. He mentioned that Malinga's most recent Test wasn't all that much sooner than McGraths. I said that in that period Malinga had at least been playing other forms of cricket, ODIs and T20Is. Keeping the gears oiled so to speak, where as McGrath hasn't bowled a ball in quite some time. Eds was under the impression that McGrath had been playing the IPL when in fact he didn't get a game. Nobody knows how the 2 will shape up other than Rob, just in my personal opinion some of the retired blokes may fare a little worse than other people think. Eds wanted to change as a result of how I thought that McGrath may turn out in the sim, he thought McGrath was going to better else he would not have changed and he only wanted to change after I put forth a case as to why I would have stuck with Malinga, a case I wouldn't have made had he not changed his mind.
That last paragraph confused the hell outa me Yh, I see where you're coming from too, however I cant see Rob being the type of guy to let a few games in the IPL change their form.
Eds to explain seeing as he keeps making last minute decisions . He sent me a PM of 7 players, Harris wasn't one of them.
Needed a front line spinner tbh. There is a player, who I don't think I should go for, but I will try and get next round. Although, I have a bad feeling he will be gone.
