I think that performing while the game is on the line should be more valuable. For example, Johnson's 6 fer. How he got no points after that I'll never know.
Hence not motm I don't view MOTM as the best performer on the field it should be the player who has the biggest effect on the outcome of the game. If Botha hadn't of taken 8 wickets it would've just been an even bigger thrashing and he didn't bowl THAT well in the first innings, yet if Attapatu had of got out for <10 in his first dig it would've been ALOT closer + his 40 in the 2nd was just clarified how good he was in the match as it meant they weren't going to collapse and give the game up. Therefore Attapatu's contribution to the win >>>>> Botha's contribution to limiting the casualties.

Yeah... but technically Botha had the biggest impact on the result. Had he not made 80 runs they would've list by 300 and had he not taken 8 wicket, they would've probably lost by 450+ An "impact" of well over 200 runs... Whereas Atapattu could've got ducks and the Rebels still could've won as he only contributed about 150. Basically what you're saying is retarded.
Yeah but Botha NEVER but them in a position to win right from the get go, He bowled poorly in the first innings only getting one person in the top 7 out. AFAIC after that first innings the game was almost done and dusted, Then Tunza failed to get close with the bat. Fail to see how that is retarded.
