I actually don't believe that Wilson deserves to lose it. Having said all that, I don't buy into the one season bullshit. He played a few games last season and performed well and did so for GB as well iirc. There's got to become a point when a player is now new and 170 wickets is as good as ever imo. Having said all this, he's had a dream run playing in such a good bowling team for Qld. I suppose he's answered the acid test leading the GB attack but he's still had a lot of support. How he goes leading the attack with only me as the other proven bowler in the team will be the making of him.
Yeah the rankings are more of an extended form guide than something that really takes longevity into account. They assume that things will stay as they are now and players will keep up their performances so far... there is a safeguard in there to stop players who have played SFA games getting up there but it's not really foolproof. Wilson's definitely still the best bowler, IMO. I'd probably have Farny fourth or fifth on personal opinion.
Crowley averages 36 in First Class cricket and averaged 48 this season. If it's your opinion, you're a biased idiot tbh. If it's a bait, well done.
Surkelton is pretty much a prank-bowler these days as well. In the last three seasons he's averaged 41, 33 and 37. Way to be stuck in Season 5.
