1 + 2 are the opening positions though If Luffers position thing said "Top Order" instead of "Opener" id be inclined to agree
Okay then, no Luffers doesn't open because openers are generally more suited to the #3 position to middle order bats.

Incentive to who? The incentive to people like you is stay active, get good and then eventually replace them. The short term incentive for you is playing OD cricket. FC games are picked on ability.
tbh I always though the Middle order were more suited to number 3 Mainly due to the fact that I registered as a number 3 and mine says middle order and not opener. Just sayin
im not talking bout me at all tbh... just saying how i dont agree with playing someone who isnt at all active just my opinion though
Rob has said that both openers and middle order batsmen can bat at three. But as a rule of thumb you want your best batsman there as prank players get found out at three more than ny other position. IIRC.
