So it begins...

NZ's quest for cricketing supremacy. Can they do it with a bunch of young hacks? (25 and under) Only time will tell...

    Start of 2011/12 Season
    Tests: 7th
    ODIs: 6th
    T20Is: 5th

I'm going bonkers on this so I'm doing updates, scorecards and shiz for each match.

New Zealand spring huge shake up in time for Australia series

New Zealand has shocked the cricketing world by naming no more than 15 debutants in the 18 man squad to take on Australia in
the upcoming series. Only Martin Guptill (25), Kane Williamson (22), and Tim Southee (22) have retained their places after the selectors wanted to take a youthful approach in attempts to build towards the 2015 Cricket World Cup that is being held in New Zealand. Williamson has been named as captain for the upcoming series while the squad’s oldest player Guptill, will take the vice captaincy.

The squad is as follows...

    Kane Williamson (c) Northern Districts
Martin Guptill (vc) Auckland
Josh Brodie Wellington
Andrew de Boorder Auckland
George Worker Canterbury
Hamish Rutherford Otago
Ben Smith Central Districts
Jeet Raval Auckland
Tom Latham (wk) Canterbury
Harry Boam Wellington
Doug Bracewell Central Districts
Ben Wheeler Central Districts
Jimmy Neesham Otago
Tim Southee Northern Districts
Trent Boult Northern Districts
Nic Beard Otago
Adam Milne Central Districts
Bevan Small Central Districts
This ought to be good. Gonna be following this for sure. Go Raval!

The bowling attack should be gun. The team will be a bit weak batting-wise though.

I will take interest in this only if Gazz uses himself as a player

They were looking strong at 2-211 until Wheeler came on and destroyed their tail. Glorious figures on debut from the young Central Districts man. Watson played remarkably well considering the steady flow of wickets.

What can New Zealand reply with?

Then I bid you good day

Probably enough to get a draw since the result says 'Match drawn'.

141 run 9th wicket partnership entered the all time New Zealand records. What guns. Brodie on debut too! Raval and Boult were injured which is why they weren't playing.
