I'm pretty sure you'll have me covered by some distance now. I sold a couple of players in the last two weeks and replaced them with youngsters. Trying to get into a cycle of succession planning so I don't have the problem I once did where all of my gun players were declining at the same time.
Yes. And he's getting no latitude in the future - any shit from him in this thread and he'll be infracted again.
Match with Chewie going down to the wire. I need 10 runs from 4 overs, but am eight down with only tail enders left at the crease. Nail biter. 3 runs from 3 overs, 1 wicket remaining. #11 on strike for a full over thanks to a single off the last ball... (I'm sure the #8 would have retained the strike in the real world, but there we go)
Good game, Ch00:3 A third spinner for you would have won you the match easily, I think. Not quite sure how my rookie leggie played so well either. I got lucky at the end of the day.
5 wicket win in my key game, now should win the league from here, would've sold up my affiliate completely if they'd lost.
Main should promote again... think I have a huge ratings advantage. Be happy if affiliate just cements good finish in div2.
Main undefeated in bot Senior Div 2 comps, performing well above their weight. Affiliate is picking up where we left off last season - 50k advantage and lose.
First week of training, and he's popped in keeping. I guess that makes the decision on his role a bit easier.
Weera becomes my first player to play a senior representative match. All be it a friendly, but it's a start. At 26, he should have a good future at rep level, especially starting with a 3 fa. http://www.fromthepavilion.org/scorecard.htm?gameId=2951639

It's third week and he's only 27 so he'll be fine power wise I think. He won't be getting any other training
What's the ideal for power then? I try to keep most of my batsmen reasonably balanced and start training power in earnest around 25 years old and perhaps a little earlier if I have a fast/fast-medium in need of power. It helps keep the player wage a bit lower for longer whilst their overall ability should remain about the same in terms of primary prowess (though I understand I'm sacrificing a bit of their potential ceiling by doing so).
I agree with Heef. Training power late makes his peak a bit stronger but reduces the peak by like 3 years doing what Chewie's doing.
