tbf, I'm fairly bored of him repeating himself.

 

I've sort of given up this season now. I always have a glimmer of hope, knowing that for the last 4 or 5 seasons, our second half of the season has been much better than our first, but it will take something massively drastic to keep us up. Especially after today. It's getting frustrating hearing him say things like "we're playing well, we just need to make sure we concede less", cause, whilst he has a point, he's there to fucking do something about it, not to give us the facts. Only way I can see us staying up now is if we make a massive signing and the players start playing as though they actually want to play in the premier league.

I absolutely love Reading, I love how it is run, I love the players, the staff, John Madejski, but there's no way we're gonna stay up, or be successful in the premier league in the future if we carry on with the attitude of "we're playing well, so the results will come". I think now's the time for McDermott to pipe up, tell the players they are playing shit and need to improve, and to tell them to start showing passion, and start playing as though they want to be premier league players. The sooner that happens, the better.
