    If I'd been taking something my employers medicos were telling me to take, for the mere fact of keeping my job, if not because I put trust in my employers- I'd be going to court with it and if found guilty be asking serious questions of my employer.

    Who really gives a fuck. They would have just taken them because they're just fucking aminos that help the body recuperate mildly faster. They aren't illegal anywhere and only recently have some of these compounds been added to anti-doping lists, which I think honestly is pretty stupid because most of them are only useful for regenerative properties.

    You would have to be an absolute goose to sue a club which was only trying to assist your well being.

    Not everybody thinks like John Proctor. Some would prefer to be pragmatists.

    I don't know whether that is the case for the Sharks players but admitting guilt doesn't absolutely imply guilt. Especially when the admission of 'guilt' costs them so little.

    But I suppose, if the easy way out is admitting guilt to something you don't think your guilty of, well fair enough.


    Otherwise- they knew what was going on - so guilty and again get an easy way out.

    A two year ban, which was bandied around at one point, would be devastating to most NRL players. For many of them it would be ~20% of their career gone and a massive blow to their earnings, especially when you consider that their earning power outside of professional sport is very limited.

    Yeah...it's no surprise that some Sharks players would take the easy way out. Using illegal substances to improve your game is much easier than hard training and dedication.

    Lying would certainly fit the profile ......

    But also having Drug cheat against your name follows you for the rest of your life. Your kids, your wife, your mates knowing - yep I cheated!
