Well I qualify still and have played 2 full seasons of BS. Also there is a difference between an average ALC player and a good ALC player. Nothing wrong with the guys who are chalenging for BS spots getting recognised for what they are doing but when guys who are nothing but average in the second tier are getting recognition that is wrong.

    Yet fair.

Thanks for the run down I gathered that, however Golding did infact play a couple of BS games this season (he was crap in them) but he had a really good season in the ALC. However there are obviously alot of crap fellas who will miss out (because of north south) which is good, but they will still get to play for NZ.

    Generous IMO.

36 with the bat and 38 with the ball are really good ALC season eh? Well that obviously shows what the Rays standards are then.

Golding had an average ALC player, he is an average ALC player. I think he definitely has the potential to become a BS player but is a fair bit from that yet.

36 with the bat is pretty good for a batting all-rounder. And considering he is a part-timer 38 isn't ridiculously poor.

But there are better options with the bat and quite frankly averagins 38 at ALC level isn't even worth considering for rep games.

  8. Eds E Ames

    Academy =/= Rep Games.

Although, I do think he shouldn't be anywhere near the rep scene.

It is 36 in ALC as a batting allrounder. ALC is not utter shit but it is a good bit below BS. If it was 36 in BS then yeah that is fairly good. But 36 is not going to get you a place in BS cricket if you aren't offering much with the ball, also IMO a batting allrounder should be a little bit more than a part time bowler.

    Academy > ALC though.

You know what I meant by "Rep" side.
Rob said if it rules out ALC players than the new stipulations are doing their job.
This is meant to be at, the very least, an equal level with BS.

Slot me in at number 4 please.

  13. Callum CJ Laing

You can't play. Your BS debut was in Season 7.

  14. Cribbage RG Cribb

You can't play because you played one BS game in Season 7.

  15. Cribbage RG Cribb

    Beaten. :(

  16. Callum CJ Laing

    Damn straight! :pimp:

  17. Marto RK Fittaman

    What, why cant I play?

  18. Callum CJ Laing

To qualify for the academy you cannot of played BS cricket prior to Season 8, which you have.

  19. Riddy JH Ridd

    im ok though yeah?

So when I was picked for that one game in season 7 that was not out of love, that was done to sabotage my representative career. Typical Ravens.
