Obviously don't watch many pre-season games, this is the norm.

Think the count was like 20-10 in the Roosters game. Come real season they'll let off.

Seems like a typical penalty count for a game involving the Roosters imo.

Nah I'm pretty sure we wont it this time round.

Just proves everything that comes out of trails mean nothing.

Pretty impressed with Prince. Wallace was at his absolute mediocre best. Norman was shitty. Hoffman still kills attacking plays. Hodges and Gillett were both good in attack. Not much else to say.

I'll bet you any money you like the average penalty count this year is higher than last year, thanks to this new ruck enforcement. This has little to do with pre-season stringency. It is evidently a new interpretation.

True, I hate over enforcing the ruck. They need to relax the rules. Sure if some knob is laying in there forever, ping him. However, I hate seeing a good tackle, especially a good leg tackle, not rewarded because the player can't wrestle or hold them for a bit before being penalised.

Sure we don't want 06-09 Storm MMA style holds, but being able to turtle/hold legs is something that should be allowed to a degree. Seeing someone do a great leg tackle and have the refs immediately say "let go!" is discusting, and is eradicating an element of the game which requires skill and technique to execute.

At least this trial should seal Corey Norman's spot in reggies.

Bonjo had fuck all chance to do anything, unfortunately.

Norman is likely to be one of those cunts who finds his feet after shifting clubs. He makes horrible plays and poor decisions, but looks good while failing. Inept with style...

I assume you are talking about Bond? He didn't get to show much in attack, but he did show some heart in attempting to make a couple of difficult one on one tackles in goal and getting smashed, so that's something.

I agree. Nearly held up Lowrie. And nearly stopped the try under the posts (though he was a bit out of position.

How did you rate Hodges performance up against a much superior player in Nielson?

With a season of NRL level conditioning, I think he will have the strength to pull them off (lol), he got his body in great position in both attempts.

lol, I have never said Nielsen is a much superior player to Hodges. Merely that I'd rather have Nielsen in the Origin team given Hodges's pus record.

I'd take Steve Michaels in the Origin side over Hodges. Cunt is hopeless.

Where did I mention Origin? You are that biased you can't even say he played well, yet you bag me for not saying he played bad.

Hodges played his 1 in 10 good games during the trials?

    What a waste.
