Broncos Vs Manly

Our whole team has performed well for most of the season, and they'll get even better with age and experience.

Score didn't blow out cause Manly are shit. Melbourne and Warriors are too, only teams who really deserved it were Broncos and the Dragons. Too bad Dragons had to turn into shit fucks and put themselves in that position when they could have dominated every other team, the only hard game Manly played all year was against the Dragons and they looked like nothing compared to them. And too bad Lockyer had to get injured, now what are we left with? I can't even remember a performance by Melbourne all season that looked really dominant, they're good at the grind though so they're more worthy than the other 2 teams, and Warriors just play like a bunch of retarded coconuts half the game.

I'll bet you a carton that Brisbane finish outside the 8 if Gillett, Wallace and McCullough play more than 10 games together.

(I'm yet to lose a bet on a forum.)

I didn't think Gillett was that bad last night tbh.

Neither do I. I just don't rate him in the same stratosphere as Lockyer and I think McCullough and Wallace will become even shitter than they already are, without Lockyer.

Yeah, Wallace and McCollough would get too loose without Lockyer's calling the shots and his calming influence.

Kicking game alone is going to suffer big time without him.

TBH, kicking games are some of Hunt's/Norman's biggest strengths. Hunt especially, as he's shown in the ALC. Clearly not at the same level as Lockyer, but not that bad either.

It's kicking. There isn't anywhere near as big a difference in the two comps as in other areas.

I wasn't laughing at your point; I was laughing at how you called it the ALC. :p

    NYC, whatever. <.<

So how do you think Hunt will go in the BS next year?

I think he'll end up behind me in the rankings.

Nah. Huge difference. Kicking is an art and it's importance is highly underrated. It's not simply a matter of being able to kick as far or as high, it's the decision making that underpins it. Just watch the Cowboys this season if you want to see how having two of the best technical kickers means jack shit if they're making poor decisions on when and what to kick.

Wallace put in about half a dozen poor kicks. Not poor in themselves but poor in the context of the match and the positioning he was in. Bombed when he should've kicked long. And the errors he made were probably due to having to make 13 kicks as opposed to Gillett and McCullough who made two each.

It has been said a million times before. Wallace is really the epitome of average at First Grade Level. We'll need to bring in a better half than Gillett if we want to rise above 7th IMO. Even if we do keep all our young stars.

I really hope gillett doesn't spend ten games in at 6. I would not take that bet. My hope is that he isn't griffens long term solution. Would prefer Hunt/Norman tbh.

Yeah I highly doubt Gillett will start the year as the first choice five-eighth; he was just a stop gap. He might end up there for a bit if the other options fail but Hunt and Norman will be giving opportunities first, I'm sure.
