Very shit performance. We lack creativity in attack unless Lockyer is involved in the play which is worrying. Hodges was fucking awesome and how he didn't win MoTM I will never know. I thought Thaiday was quite poor.
Mullen had such a shit game. So much talk of him supposedly playing Origin I at halfback and he produced a typical Mullen-at-halfback performance. Hodges was immense. Who actually did get MotM?
It was short of the line IMO. He just pushed it over. Didn't have downward pressure while the ball was touching the stripe.
Nah they played 4 shit teams to start the season and they just played a good team who played incredibly bad. Luckiest team in the comp.
You can always tell how Mullen is going to play by his first kick of the game. If it's shitty, he'll be shitty. If it's gun he'll be gun.
Was probably his best defensive game I can remember. He was actually getting his body behind them and wrapping them up, where he usually likes to slap and jersey grab. He has been playing on a busted knee for a few weeks though, hopefully he can pull through becaseu if he has his usual 15 game season I don't like our chances.
Yeah, Hodges was awesome in defence. He's changed his technique a bit and it worked wonders. 12 tackles (including 3 one-on-ones) and 0 misses according to nrlstats. He did get caught out of position once, but he chased down the bloke who made the break (Gidley I think) and made a great tackle, only conceding about 10m. If he defends like that every week I'll definitely revise my opinion of him.
