    Spot on. Was easy to read because it never was a chore to read.

    In fact I was left craving more when i was done. I wanted to know more about the setting (super minor spoilers): The races across the western sea, the abandoned dragon workshops, the drowned, did tralgu have fur (they smelt like wet dog in the rain after all) on their body?
    You won't regret it, no dull moments.

    Just started Deadhouse Gates (Malazan Book II). I slogged through Gardens of the Moon earlier in the year, I needed a break from the chaotic PoV structure and Deus Ex Machina. This time was spent on TDatC which was a wise decision.

    Gardens of the Moon     was reaching Dragonball Z levels of powercreep tbh. I don't regret starting the series however, just isn't one I'll marathon through.

    Nearly finished Niall Fergusons 'the great degeneration', pretty good, but you can get the grasp/whole thing from watching one or two of his lectures on youtube. Also knocked off Thomas Sowells 'The housing boom and bust' as an audiobook, pretty good, just reinforced a lot of stuff from Tom Woods meltdown.

    The end is worth the effort IMO.

    I'm currently reading Midnight Tides. This one seems a bit easier to follow compared to his previous books, or perhaps I'm used to his style now.

    Done with Midnight Tides. I think it's probably my favourite in the Malazan series so far. I felt nothing would top Memories of Ice, but I really enjoyed this one and liked the characters a lot more.
