Didn't we already cover the fact that Dilshan isn't going to be a keeping option in the other thread? You even had a whinge about it in there IIRC.
Nah he bowls much more often than he keeps. He is a dire keeper anyway so Benny's not missing much. Puttick counts as a keeping option but he too will be completely dire at it if it comes to it; these guys are not good options with the gloves.
Seems a bit odd considering Dilshan kept in 70 of his 227 FC matches since Hughes hasn't kept in one.
Short of making a new sim, this isn't something I have the control over I would like. Dilshan is certainly more of a bowler than a keeper and ITC's retardation means he can't do both.
If Benny wanted us too would we be able to "overwrite" his character to make him a batsman/part time keeper instead of batsman/part time bowler? I understand that there are limitations in what the sim can handle, but it isn't outside of the realms of reality for a FC team to pick Dilshan and advise him he is the back up keeper and he should focus on his glovework and not his pies.
Also is there another player in the world who is that close to being a genuine triple threat? Had no idea he had kept in a third of his total FC matches. Pretty impressed considering how much of his career he has spent playing in teams with better keepers and how much time he spent up the order.
