I have a tough decision to make. Ray Brevett (494318) Ray is a LH Batsman and LF Bowler. He is a cautious player with strong leadership skills and exquisite experience. He currently has superb batting form, respectable bowling form and sublime fitness. Plays For: Appleheads Nationality: England Age: 29 Years Old Battrick Rating: 42,536 Wages: £14,109 p/w Stamina: proficient Wicket Keeping: worthless Batting: quality Concentration: respectable Bowling: remarkable Consistency: strong Fielding: competent Going for 3.5 mil...which is a steal, but his age is a concern. I can manage his stamina next season with 1 net and get 2/3 good seasons out of him. But then will would sell him for **** all really. Is it worth it?
Not worth it. You don't get your side to the top by buying 29yo stop gaps, you tend to stagnate because the players are only effective for 2 or 3 seasons and because of their age their returns don't get better like a similarly priced but less skilled youngster would.
Well then sit on your cash I reckon, you'll only regret it when you free up some space and he has no resale value.
