    Ugh. Was right.

    Exactly why prior knowledge in some cases is mandatory - the whole line about Baltar and Boomer being linked is such bollocks and cevno bought it.

    I tried to keep on the DL all game but thought claiming and being my usual self was the best move at the time. I reckon had Heef and Cevno had the BSG knowledge it would have been too, mainly because Captain's claim was so flimsy while MM claimed such an important character.

    I was more referring to the fact that it was blatantly obvious Captain was mafia from a claim POV

    - Quartenaro being a watcher is just so ridiculous if you've watched it.
    - Quartenaro being in game over Tyrol is just so incredibly stupid
    - Tyrol's ability washed - a major theme of S1 is his affection for Boomer so searching for her makes sense.

    And I reckon had they had knowledge of the theme, they'd have picked up on that. Of course trusting me would have been stupid (despite the fact that I genuinely wanted to townside, who are they to know that) (although if they'd watched it in S1 Baltar hardly cylon sides, at least intentionally - his interests lie with man) but if they'd been able to verify what I was saying with their own knowledge it would have been obvious.

    ftr I agree vig hitting me was a good option, I do for the aforementioned reasons. I just think lynching me was stupid as it still gave a 50/50 option and the potential for failure, at least in lynching captain they'd have known where the game lay. Cevno was just as third party as I so trusting him well more over me was a little rash but understandable

    No it fucking isn't , and using words like "incredibly stupid" and and "so ridiculous" just makes you look like a pillock. Guessing at what may or may not be in the game - especially when Athers had to remove 3 characters at the last minute - is a recipe for disaster most of the time and you've been wrong about it loads of times.

    His claim made a lot more sense than Captain and was more in on the game than Captain.

    Plus why would you want to out yourself as Baltar anyway? He's a cunt and would be ripe for a lynching if you didn't have other options.

    Yeah, the mafia was between Captain and Mariner. We had that figured out. But if he wasn't captain why would you want to rely on Skippos (even if he is telling the truth) in a 2-1 after the day killed had failed?

    Plus him telling a lie first time and the whole marcuss controlling him thing didn't seem too plausible tbh, even though it happened.

    Lynching him and roleblocking Captain made more sense and was the safer option.

    Mariner came across as a suspicious cunt so it wasn't as straightforward as it could have been. If I exclude the fact that Tyrol is a better claim than Quartenaro, I'd have probably have lynched Mariner first.

    Based on the way Skippos came out with his claim, I'd have had a hard time buying anything he said. Would have done exactly what Heef did with the vig kill attempt fwiw.

    Marcus's effectively controlling Skippos is pretty plausible if you knew anything about the show.

    (assuming Skippos was Baltar? Missed if he was or wasn't)

    Yeah, maybe but the way he did it made no sense tbh. And Mariner looked suss anyway.

    There was no reason to take the risk just to give Skippos a win. And frankly, Athers had a lot of curveball's in this so even if you know the theme there (which Heef and me didn't) was no point risking the game on it.
