    No, Essendon outplayed the Pies. It's not like they had more scoring shots and still lost; Essendon had 6 more scoring shots. Essendon only had 3 more free kicks, so I don't think bad umpiring cost the Pies the game.

    Bad unpiring? (Bellchambers should have not got that goal), but Essendon simply outplayed them, Cloke was shutout by Carlisle which limited there goals and terrible goalkicking

    Don't be mad bro.

    I think his point was the Essendon got two free kicks inside 50 just as Collingwood was mounting a comeback. One of which was incredibly soft.

    They had a fuckload more shots too early and probably should have lead at the first two breaks.

    That said, Essendon obv deserved to win because it's not their fault the Pies kicked innacurately.

    honestly reckon in a hypothetical world if umpires got every decision correct and consistent then 0.001% of results would change compared to the current system.

    They're doing a fucking difficult job and honestly, if two or three average calls cost you the game you don't deserve to win anyway.

    They did outplay them though have to admit those soft free kicks were momentum changer. They did kick themselves out the game though.

    The momentum was changing all the way through the match until late in the last quarter. You can't pin point a couple of free kicks and say they lost because of those when they lost by 45 points.
    Essendon didn't have much luck in front of goal at times too. We hit the post 2 or 3 times. Would it of been okay for me to use that excuse if Collingwood ended up winning?

    In the end Bombers won because we played 4 quarters of footy. In the end we were quicker and more fit around the ground. Carlisle beat Cloke comfortably, Swan was good but not great, etc.
