He's been pretty good so far this season, he just has minor problems sometimes and he's the 'hold onto the ball and never do anything exciting' type player, which means no matter how good he is, he'll never be fully appreciated. If Broncos fans should be targeting any player for underperforming atm, it's Hodges.
Oh yeah that's right. Because the balls he dropped were when he was trying to catch. He was trying to offload in 1 drop, and hit from behind for his other drop. He didn't drop anything when going for a catch. He dropped 2, IIRC. He held onto the ball when needed IMO. He was too close to the sideline and if he passed it Winterstein would have been taken into touch. He made all the right decisions in attack tonight. How are they debatable? All his passes tonight were to the chest, and his defence was spot on.
He was pretty poor last week, IMO. But he has speed to burn and if he gets into space he won't get run down. He is very much like Brent Tate. Hodges was fantastic last week and had an OK game tonight, he didn't really have any opportunities but made good metres out of dummy half.
I'm not surprised he made a heap of metres, Hodges and Folau got shit all ball tonight because they kept targeting Waqa (which paid off greatly).
