Welcome all the SoccerSim HQ, We are delighted to be able to gather you all here today to make the announce of which bid has won the race to be the next SoccerSim club. After many clubs came and went in SoccerSim Season 1 and then new teams came in for Season 2, but the competition struggled to even get started for a long time. It has been with great pride that the competition has managed to re-build and now is in a position to be able to introduce a 5th club into the league for Season 3. There had been rumours as to whether all the current 4 clubs would make it as far as Season 3 or not, but they have all managed to prove that there is a future for their club. We shall see 2 new Presidents for Season 3. TJ Bradford came in at the tail end of Season 2 to rebuild Victorious Secrets FC and CM Dyer will move to Cyclones FC to take over the top job. Both gentlemen have showed a lot of enthusiasm for the coming season are to improve their clubs from their current positions. It will be interesting to see what changes they make to their clubs to take them to the next level. Onto the main business of the day. Who will take the 5th spot for Season 3? Firstly, SoccerSim would like to thank all who applied for a license for Season 3. We considered all bids, however obviously some were stronger than others. If you were not accepted then we encourage you to not give up on your club dream, go away and look to improve your bids. We have the goal to bring in a 6th club for Season 4, so you may be able to re-apply in the not too distant future. There were 2 obviously stronger bids in the process and after chopping and changing between which one looked the strongest and even an 11th hour change a decision was came to. The checks to make sure they were fit to run a club were carried out. SoccerSim is please to announce that the 5th club for Season 3 shall be Tigers FC. The club is to be headed up by SM "Skippos" Morgan and CL "mightymariner" Warrington. After initially be swayed towards a rebel league the pair decided come back to their proper home and made the required apologies. They both showed that they wanted to run their own club and build something successful. The bid was also attractive as it was not a one man band, which is a model that SoccerSim is keen to move away from and hence the requirement for next season to have at least 2 people involved in team selection. Congrats mariner and Skippos. I know a lot of effort has gone into that bid. As an aside, it is with great honour that I have accepted the role of Cyclones FC President. If anyone is interested in joining the clones (including but not by any means limited to those who were planning on joining the prospective club that failed in their bid) feel free to drop me a pm. I obviously can't promise anything but us at the clones are looking to mould ourselves into an active, competitive outfit and will be looking at building upon our appearance in the reserve league final.

Just thought I'd essentially pitch what the Tigers are about. We're an extension of the b-ball sim club. Really, performance comes secondary to a good team atmosphere - and we believe the only way to improve is through a thriving culture, within. With that in mind - we'll gladly take on anyone who's keen to be a part of this expansion - no discrimination based on age, reputation or race. All we desire is x amount of players, all of whom love the club they're at. We'll try not to completely rape clubs in expanding (bandits, particularly. sorry if y'all get the rough end of our inclusion!), and try and bring a few new lads in, not just poach from others - but don't be so hostile if we do grab a player or two from you... we've got to establish ourselves somehow! Congrats Tigers FC. I put in a bid for my own club - Raptors FC - but it was way back in like July when I had just returned from my 3 and a half year hiatus on this site, so I didn't really have anyone (or know anyone) to join me, so it was a solo bid. I actually thought I stood in with a chance since I used to run SoccerSim on here and I'm a keen follower, familiar with the sim and everything so I'm a little disappointed. God damn, I hate that I'm stuck managing VSFC (the club where no one cares) when it's obvious there are much more active clubs out there. For the record I've only managed them for 3 games. I don't take responsibility for the wooden spoon
If you don't like how the club is run then try something to change it rather than just moaning about it. I told you that you can't just create a new club completely, but there is nothing to stop you bringing in your own stuff into VSFC.
