Allrounder Rankings

Just out of interest is there anyway to do rankings for allrounders?

I know that there are ICC allrounders rankings but I dont know how their ranking system works (in terms of the formulae) or how the Cricsim rankings work for that matter. While it would not be something to have in the sidebar necessarily I think it might be an interesting thing to see at the end of each season or half season.

As I said I do not know how either ranking systems work so it may be a lot of effort to do or maybe be fairly simple I dont know.

I thought there was maybe an allrounder rankings before but maybe I was just imagining that.

Bowling + Batting rank divided by 2. Bam.

Then you would have no number 1 unless they were best at batting and bowling.

Get that, and then ranked them from the highest ranked to the lowest. Highest = 1, and so on.

    What Fung said.

Well if that is how it is actually done then I am disappointed I thought it would be far more complicated.

I'm pretty sure it's done differently by Rob, but I was just going on from what was said before.

The one you were talking about before was Speirz unofficial one.

I thought Rob had produced an official one on the old site.

Dont see whats wrong with adding them and dividing..

I was going to say the fact that some specialist batsman and keepers dont have bowling rankings but simply just miss them out I suppose.

    Sucks to be them.

Rob did have a list up at one stage, and I was waaaaaaay ahead. Said the formula involved too much stuffing around to update regularly though.

Absolute day light between Speirs and the rest then a big gap between Tyson and Storer. Would have maybe have thought Johns would have been a bit closer than that but I suppose his batting hasnt been that great and he hasnt played much origin.

  15. Flack SA Flack

Speirz origin record gives him that massive lead, IMO.

  16. Speirz DG Speirs

Test record would help as well.

  17. Flack SA Flack

Not enough Test matches to have that massive effect, plus I avg 74 with the bat at test as well :p

  18. Speirz DG Speirs

I average 50 with the bat and 22 with the ball though.

    In conclusion, I'm awesome.

  19. Bender BG Herd

    In tests i average..

    Aww :(
