    On tonight, right now.

    Scott West the first inductee!

  2. Scottie NG Scott

He was such a good player, great to see him recognised. He was easily one of the most consistent ball-winners I've seen, and was one of the best midfielders in the league for the best part of a decade.

  3. MatthewJay TA Miokovic

West is a top bloke, good on him.

  4. BoshtrichBurger BB Burger

    Congrats to West.

Who else do you guys think will make the HoF? And who will be elevated to Legend status?

  5. BoshtrichBurger BB Burger

    Brian Peake the second inductee!

WA great who played 381 games all up!

  6. BoshtrichBurger BB Burger

    Third inductee is Hassa Mann...

Fair to say I don't know much about him...

  7. Dirk Diggler DM Diggler

    Wish it were on tv.

  8. BoshtrichBurger BB Burger

It's on tomorrow, which is fucking retarded

  9. MASTERS S Masters

  10. BoshtrichBurger BB Burger

It should be live, but it isn't.

    Pathetic really.

  11. BoshtrichBurger BB Burger

    Rick Davies the fourth inductee!

South Australian ruckman at only 188cm tall back in the 70s for Sturt!

  12. BoshtrichBurger BB Burger

Umpire Brian Sheehan the fifth inductee!

Umpire of the AFL Team of the Century side!

  13. Dirk Diggler DM Diggler

I don't know how they judge umpires

  14. MASTERS S Masters

this might seem harsh, but the guys mentioned (did they play AFL at all?) i thought it was A.F.L hall of fame

  15. Dirk Diggler DM Diggler

They like to make the state leagues feel important

  16. BoshtrichBurger BB Burger

Umpired 350+ games, including six Grand Finals.

Something he said sounded ever so right... "I lived by the adage that umpires should be seen and not heard. We wanted to add to the game, not detract from it."

Umpires these days should live by that same adage!

  17. morgieb MC Burridge

Congrats to all inductees so far.

  18. MASTERS S Masters

well don't they have there own HOF ? why do they have to be in the AFL HOF ?

FWIW, the AFL is an extension of the VFL... But the VFL back then was not the benchmark like how the AFL is today...

All state leagues had their stars and all the leagues around the country (SANFL, WAFL, TSL, etc etc) produced stars of the game, and were equal in terms of stature.

Just because it's labelled the AFL HoF doesn't mean the retrospective stars of yesteryear around the nation can't be added to it.

It's technically the 'Australian Football HoF', not just 'AFL' per se.
