cooney wouldn't be a bad matchup though. has speed to at least keep track of him and the footy iq to actually adjust to playing in defense. + 10 yrs experience and a brownlow medal; I'm sure the bloke wouldn't be out of his depth defending. That said it's not ideal; just wouldn't be terrible.
Depends really, Butler or Harwood would have been better options but at a guess Curnow will just move back onto him and tag him hard like he'd tag a midfielder. At a guess.
That said when people don't submit instructions I try and not instruct for them; just use common sense. Many coaches don't like tags so it's not always for me to put one in when it's not stated. Normally when instructions aren't given a tag won't happen unless someone's going wild.
I don't put any instruction cos I assume you'll have a far better judgement than me, and I just trust your judgement
Yeah, when something needs to be done I do it but when people don't leave instructions I don't want them to be better off than those who do so I just wait until a need is presented to cover it instead of covering it in anticipation. Like obviously common sense prevails and all the starting matchups make sense but I'm not going to play any loose men or taggers or unaccountable defenders or anything to start with unless the need presents.
Yeah it makes my life a lot easier (takes as much discretion out of it) when I have tactics to follow so I don't want to put those who don't use them (i.e. encourage not submitting tactics) at an advantage. I don't think anyone's disadvantaged by not submitting, I just don't think they're at a genuine advantage either.
at 3QT nick riewoldt is so far on the worst game cpl has ever seen to put it in perspective he's had more clangers than disposals
