    I actually really enjoyed last year's GF. And I don't subscribe to the notion that it has to be close to be a good quality game. I think close games are obviously more exciting but I certainly enjoyed the 2010 GF even though it was a bit of a shallacking in the end. The 08 GF was a joke. 06 was pretty intense. 05 had it's moments. As did 09.

    He's obviously in front of the kicker but the ruling was that he didn't encroach on the 10m when Slater dropped it. I think anyone who watches the replay will find that he definitely was within the 10 so yeah, it should've been disallowed.

    Agreed, but his sides have actually won 8 of 10 Grand Finals.

    Lost his first against Wynnum Manly in 1984.
    Won his second against the same club a year later.
    Lost to Manly Warringah in 1987. (Co-coach)
    Won six in a row for the Broncos (1992, 1993, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2006)
    Won the 2010 decider.

    Haha. Good to see there are some old timers around. I mean that with all due respect of course, Steve. I wasn't actually including BRL premierships. But if we are, a slight correction. He's won 8 of 11 because of course Wally and Strudwick decimated his Souths side 26-0 in the 79 GF.

    Dude, Newcastle are going to get slaughtered. Roosters will make 60 metres every set, and Newcastle's shitty attack close to the line will be identical to what we saw for the majority of this match and all season.. lateral shifting going nowhere with a nothing last tackle option.
