lol the amount of pro-Cronulla articles in the Sydney press is a laugh. Trying so hard to get Sydney fans with no dog in the fight to support Cronulla. Give up cunts, nobody gives a fuck. There's probably just as many people who like seeing them choke.
That's it, I'd nearly support anyone else for this but I love the idea of the sharks walking away with nothing again.
Pretty keen for the 20's though, these two sides played an epic SG Ball GF two years ago @ Leichhardt.
Luke Patten with an absolute howler in the NSW Cup. One of the most blatant obstructions you'll ever see. Cane we please get him out of there before First Grade!!
This game will be won with the refs. Sharks whole game is based off offloads and second phase play. They are shit without it. Melbourne's whole game is based off controlling the ruck and are shit against teams who can offload and create second phase.
I wouldn't say Melbourne are shit against sides who can offload and create second phase. It's definitely a weak point for them but that's true of most teams. They still defend it better than most though imo.
It's weaker for them because they so constantly get 3 in the tackle. Creates huge gaps. They're just often good at covering and last ditch efforts to stop the try (usually because they're so rested from a slow ruck) so it doesn't matter too much if it's happening now and again. If it keeps happening though they get exhausted and can fall apart.
Really don't understand all these comments about momentum and timing their run when it comes to the Sharks. They looked like crap for 2 months leading into the finals, they scraped past the Raiders and then finally clicked against a Cowboys side who were woeful. I give them a chance in this game but fuck knows how people are drawing a form line that shouts momentum & sense of timing. Where as the Storm have only dropped 2 games since SOO, took out the minor premiership and got through their finals unscathed.
Yeh, don't know about this shaking of the hands before the game to wish good luck to your opposition. That's what shoulders and kick-offs are in the game for.
Great first half that from Cronulla. Can't help but feel that had to score in that last 5 minutes though, think Melbourne have dodged a bullet and will bounce back.
