I thought Farah was pretty damn effective off the bench. The key was that they didn't take Smith off.

    Good stuff...

I see that no matter the sport, you can tell the game's over when the conversation becomes about Cribb's bets.

Yeah, I liked it. Love the tandem work. Always been a big fan of this tactic.

    Voss is awesome.

Sam Burgess should've been sent off. It wasn't even a lazy outstretched arm. He came in with a high swinging arm with full intention. If that's not a send off then nothing is.

    Yeah, it's very disappointing, really.

Can sort of see his point when Chase got the gig for the Exiles' game, but if he'd just manned up instead of having an artistic fit he'd be in the squad without doubt.

I did read McNamara was trying to tap up Tim Smith about a change of allegiance too; would've been interesting to see what he could bring. Always loved his kicking game when he was at Parra.

Yeh worked better than I thought it would, although tbf I thought Smith would still be the dominant dummy half and Farah play more of a lock role.

Sam Burgess was really poor, one of the worst players out there imo. Need to stop playing him on an edge and get him at lock if they're any chance of upsetting the kiwis or Aussies. Chris Hill really impressed me, good strong carries and a nice offload.

    If they can get a middle third rotation of;

    8. Graham
    10. Hill
    13. S Burgess

    14. G Burgess

I think that's where they can cause most damage. Tom Burgess is still too raw to be playing International Rugby League, I still think he's out of his depth a bit in the NRL.

  9. Cribbage RG Cribb

Yeah there is no need for Tom Burgess to be playing yet at all. England do not lack depth up front.

Nah. Don't be a soft cock. It's an international ffs.

  11. The Boy Brumby ZJ Brumby

He'll get a ban; the world moves on.

The most disappointing thing was that it was slightly cheap shot-ish. No need at all; S Burgess would muller Thaiday in a square go every day of the week.

So? That rule only applies for fights. A head high is a head high no matter what and you can't get any worse than what he did in that regards.

Tomkins is ordinary. He did fuck all in the super league final, and he did fuck all in this game.

    SLATER FOR LYFE.

So you're saying it's the worst head high you've ever seen?

Are you taking the piss here or what? Seen hundreds worse.

And what was with Australia's shorts? Sideways stripes? Fuck off. It's the national strip, leave it the way it is.

  16. Toolman TR Man

I've only seen ones that look worse because the player is running at full speed and it looks sickening. They look worse but they're still better than what Sam just did because they do it from bad judgement at full speed.. he just went in like an idiot and collected him.

  17. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

I'm not saying there was nothing in it but I have seen much worse. Personally, I think it's a perfect example of why the sin bin should be applicable for those instances. 10 in the bin, all sweet.

Still got a man-crush on Roby. Really wish he'd come to the NRL.

  19. Cribbage RG Cribb

The universe will cut you a deal - he'll come to the NRL if you let him play off the bench for NSW should Gidley be unavailable.

Do you take the deal? :p

  20. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

Tempting but no. :p Fuck he'd be handy in the 14.
