    I haven't really been impressed with Luke Lewis for a while now and I don't want him and Bird in the same team because I don't really rate their defence. Lewis has been going down hill in that area for a while now to the point where I probably wouldn't consider picking him at centre for NSW. Then again, I don't really want Josh Morris defending Inglis either.

    How in the fuck does Merritt get into the Test side over Tate? Even on the wing, Tate was one our best players last year.

    Seriously, the amount of NSWmen who play Test football before proving themselves in Origin is ridiculous. And virtually all of them turn out to be muppets when they're actually thrown into Origin: Glenn Stewart, Tony Williams, Trent Waterhouse, Brett Morris, Josh Morris, David Williams, Akuila Uate, Luke O'Donnell, Todd Carney and on and on. I can't think of a single, current QLD player. Why do our blokes have to earn the national jersey through state performances but NSWmen don't?

    Seriously what possible reason is there to pick a club player who can't make his state side, over a bloke whose played 23 Tests and 15 Origins, proving himself in two different positions? I can't tell you how fed up I am with this form-junkie mentality. Is Merritt's form really so good and Tate's really so bad to override 10 years of rep history? I mean please.

    The only positive (for QLD) is that these blokes are invariably picked for NSW shortly after based on the notion that, well, you can't not pick a bloke who recently made the Test side.

    Hence the preface in which I said, this is my side. I'm fully aware that Harrison has about as much chance of being picked as does Josh Jackson.

    I agree. His first 5 games were terrible. He did play very well in Game 3 last year though and he does have 10 Tests under his belt already.

    I don't understand why people can't pick the team that they think gives them the best chance to win as opposed to strictly having the pick on players who have played rep football. Experience junkie.
