    This is painful.

Tigers recycling the pill well, but not really gaining much in the way of territory for twelve phases of possession.

As the comms mentioned, Wasps weren't bothering to commit men to the breakdown. Easy decision with Leicester looking like they had no attacking threat.

How old is Goodey now, btw? Looks like Ryan Harris's (even) older brother.

  5. Howe JHF Howe

According to wikipedia he is 33, but you feel you wouldn't believe it if he were Pakistani.

I think I might be watching a Haskell performance. I think I might need to wash.

    Never knowingly undercunty, The Brand.

  7. Howe JHF Howe

    Euuuurgh.

  8. Howe JHF Howe

Farcical end to a horrid match.

    Better team won, ofc.

Freddie Burns has signed a three year deal with the Tigers, or so Planet Rugby would have us believe.

Should be a good move for both parties and will definitely soften the blow of Tobias heading Frog-side.

  11. Mariner CL Warrington

Well at least we're getting someone good, still sad about Toby leaving though.

  12. Howe JHF Howe

Yeah top signing (better than George Ford).

Seems as though everyone's heading south as soon as the England aspirations are over, so at least Burns should be around for a while yet.

I find this not picking England players not playing in England ridiculous, really don't see the advantages from it.

selectors don't have to go to france, interact with the french, etc

    Exactly, a load of rubbish

NZ & Oz have done it ever since I can remember. SA went through a period too, but expediency got the better of them.

I can see why we'd want to only pick home-based players (ring fencing the quality of the Premiership, keeping all the elite players under the ECB umbrella, etc) but it's ultimately limiting for no good reason; I'm pretty sure all club sides in Yurp at least are obliged to release players to the national sides during the designated international windows anyway.

It's not like we're so overburdened with world class talent that we can afford to write off players like (say) the Armitages and expect no ill affects.

Anyway, interesting to see Ford & Myler chosen ahead of Burns for the elite squad. Reports suggest the Tigers-bound stand off isn't playing well, but one unhappy side effect of BT nabbing the Prem coverage is reports are all I have to go on for the most part.

Heading up to Welford Road this aft. Finally looks something like a full side. Still Manu, Croft and Parling out but fmd after having copped dozens of injuries at a time I'll take your hand off for a side like this.

Seen some really good defending today but it's oh so dire in attack. Handling's gone to shit.

Also, the Gloucester team sheet today:

    1. Larry
    2. Curly
    3. Moe

This is the worst performance I've ever seen here. Fuming.

Thank Roger for that. Ben Youngs is dead set toilet ATM.
