Nah, pretty sure you just have to turnover 2 x your winnings + 2 x your remaining free bets, so if I had won $43.75 off a single $50 bet I'd still have to turnover $87.50 to claim it.
Just got another email that's telling me it's the total value of your free bets and not the value remaining, meaning I'd have to turnover $187.50.

Most bonus bets you have to turn it over twice, sometimes ever three times. I.e the deposit $50 get $50 free promos It's actually not that bad for a free $50 bet.
Wait, so the more you win with the free bets the more of your actual money you need to gamble to withdraw it? Theoretically, you could gamble with the $50 free bet for a week, get your winnings up to $1,500 and you'd have to deposit and gamble with $1,500 of your own money first in order to withdraw the bonus money? Fuck that. I'll just stick to the free $20 bonus bet that Bet365 swings me every now and then which only requires the bonus bet to be turned over 3 times ($60) regardless of how much I win.
One day I went on a gambling binge with them. Started with $100 and ended up with about $1,500 by the end of the day. I withdrew the lot and never put anything back in for a few days. I received 4 x $20 free bets over the next 7 day period all claiming to be loyalty bonuses. I just spent the bets as I wished but I knew they were only trying to get me to get a taste for gambing again so i'd put money back in. Blew the lot of the free bets and didn't put any cash in there for another week after that until I wanted to be on something.
I never got that free $10 bet from BetFred either even after they sent me an email saying i'd get it the next day. Cunts.
