Reimis Smith is a gun call. He's a better all round footballer than Vunivalu, and in a side as classy as the Storm he'll shine.
Nah they'll pick Wighton over Mitchell again and wonder why nothing happens down the left side, except Gagai carving up. Solid plan in place.
I think we need to forget about left/right centres given the number of options we have at left centre and the absolute dearth of options we have at right centre. Not really fond of picking another fullback in the centres.
I have watched maybe half a dozen games of Sam Walker in total and I’m adamant the kid is going to be an absolute gun. The only reason I can imagine he’s not starting ahead of Lam at the moment is that the club want to lock him up before het gets some real exposure and someone like the Broncos/Titans/new Brisbane club come in and offer him a Kayln Ponga style contract. Just ridiculous composure and vision for an 18yr old. Put me down for a breakout season, 15+ try assists in his debut season. I’ve never been so sure about a half at the club since Jackson Hastings & Josh Lewis
Funny I guess, cause its exactly what happened last year, whether you choose to bury your head in the sand or not.
Yeah I was sold after watching him play a bit in both trials. Surely Robinson is just saving him for half a season? Because Lam is a very, very ordinary player.
Staggs will hold that right centre spot for a while unless they move Wighton there. He is still a super shit defender and hopefully he comes back from his knee without being too diminished, but he will play a lot of origin.
Yeah I agree with this actually. But the likelihood of Trbo being fit is slim and I'd have Lomax as the replacement if he's out.
I love the fact NSW are deciding between people like Trbo, Mitchell, Best, Lomax, Staggs and Wighton for centres and QLD just hopes that Capewell can do the job.
Capewell's effort at centre was vastly overrated. He was found out badly in defence. And I dont think he offers a lot in attack.
I agree with that but I have thought he's looked quite a bit more agile this year though, not sure if it's his leg coming good, a bit more confidence on the back end of last year, or I'm just noticing him more starting.
