I'd have DCE ahead of Morgan & Milford, I know he's been patchy over the last 18 months but I think he's shown more as a half than either and his form can be put down to a lot of external factors.

He's been the QLD Pearce so far.

Yeah, I honestly don't care how he's played for Manly. His starting matches for QLD were downright awful. He did nothing but run across field, throw hospital balls, and just looked totally out of his depth.

Morgan plays a very limited role for the Cowboys where he's often the 3rd choice ballplayer and Milford has just been exposed at club level when his forwards aren't there to guide the team around the park.

I'd have more faith in DCE succeeding in a more favourable partnership with Cronk that I would in the other two who still have questions to be answered at club level, at least IMO anyway.

Debatable, and we are talking in 2-3 years time. Milford has the potential to be the games best player by then.
You're on crack. DCE is behind Morgan, Milford and Hunt.

It's going to be interesting to see if QLD adopt a plan of increased ball movement. This NSW middle third is laterally vulnerable. Offloads from Parker, Scott and Myles will be vital.

By the by I think NSW have really fucked up with their token shit cunt selections - Josh Jackson. Honestly, by what criteria is he getting a spot? I'm overjoyed that Wade Graham and Tyson Frizell will be at home on Wednesday night. And Dylan Walker - veritable proof that these selectors really are shit judges of player versatility. Peachey, Ennis or Cartwright should've been picked imo. Word is this cunt will actually be given time at hooker. I mean, lol, what can one even say to that?

I reckon Hunt's better than either, been below his best this year but still playing pretty decent.

Hunt might be more complete, but he has as many issues as Milford. Milford will end up being a much better player, IMO.

NSW are going to destroy QLD through the middle when Scott goes off. They will be making 60m a set and Reynolds will pin them in the corner with his kicking game. NSW will score about 14-20 points in that 25-40 min period off the back of offloads from the big men from the bench.

    Okay.

It is, I must say, a nice reprieve from having to worry about a fast backrower with footwork coming on against our tiring forwards. As lowly as I rated Watmough, he, along with the likes of Luke Lewis used to cause us all sorts of headaches in the second half. Fifita's dangerous with his ball skills and unorthodox running but not an ever-present danger in the same way. He's not going to bust clear into the backfield with pace and footwork.

Again, I really think they've mucked up by stacking the bench with a non-utility and a superfluous prop.

I think it may actually prove to be a really good move, by luck rather than design, on account of this weather.

I'd still be moving Gal to lock, Bird back row, Jackson bench, Tamou starting though (and I actually think Daley might be going to do something similar). I don't see where all the tackles are going to be made in the current back row arrangement and an extra bigger body in the opening 15 is huge in origin, especially in the wet.

Hopefully Daley can see that, the team is improved immensely by that one positional change (provided Gal doesn't mistake lock for 5/8th as he sometimes does).

Jackson-Bird-Cordner won't cope defensively either, particularly in the wet where it will be a much loess expansive game. Woods or Gal to lock is a must. Massive concerns about Mansours hands, I'd be giving him a thorough working over if I were Queensland. Hopefully Walters is dumb enough to tell them 'be wary of Mansours strong running out of their own end, kick away from him at all costs'

So Adam Reynolds is just the 4th Souths player to play for NSW in the last 20 years. Was a little surprised when I checked that. Brasher, Wing and Merritt being the others. lol I swear your odds of playing Origin go up if you move to Parramatta, Easts or Manly.

Correlation does not equal causation of course but I have to think it helps with marginal selections.

Who has played for Parramatta and got selected over the last 10 odd years that were marginal selections? We've rarely had anyone bar Hayne and now Jennings, and they weren't really marginal.

Hopoate. Tahu and Hindmarsh at the end of their careers. Mannah. Eric Grothe. Not saying I wouldn't (or didn't) pick some of these but they were definitely all contentious. Especially the two wingers who are/were shit cunts.

Mannah and Hopoate were pretty marginal.

I don't understand how you make 240 middle third minutes go into 6 with only 8 interchanges. I've just sat here and tried every which way to work it out. It simply doesn't work. Or if it does none of the edge players are playing 70+ minutes. lol, or if they are, one of the other second rowers is playing fuck all. You've got 400 forwards minutes to split between 8 blokes. How do you do that if only three of them can play second row and one of them starts in the middle?

lol honestly, this team would be so much easier to manage if Josh Jackson breaks his leg getting off the bus. :p
