Its time to start placing bets on the winner of the tournament. Landers looking juicy at $4.00

    Canes at $11.00

Saders vs Tahs the game of the round. Who do you like? I am leaning towards saders with no beale playing.

Will comment on the round after I've watched the Jags v Sharks game.

Yeah I put an each way (so can come 2nd) on the Canes at the start of the season, just a 10er. Highlanders in my non bias opinion are looking like the pick to win it at the moment BUT the Canes at $11 is quite good value considering they should almost definitely make it to the play offs. Personally I don't think the Chiefs have what it takes to win it but you'd know that opinion from me. They peaked too early and those injuries inevitably are hurting.
We shouldn't rule out the other teams as well I guess but NZ favourites. An NZ team to win was paying $1.52 which is pretty good odds considering we should have 4 chances (teams).
Yeah Saders would be my pick. Crotty has to start though. Tahs are finally recovering but I think we saw how dangerous the Saders can be in their loss against the Landers. If it wasn't for the Landers taking control of that match it'd have been a different story, can't see the Tahs being able to do what the Landers did tactically. Saders win.

Well thank you Sharks :) They completed a couple of big multis meaning I profited $491.74 from the weekend's games. It was a very good betting weekend for me really with 20/22 bets winning.

Ok onto the round. Well the Landers are starting to look like true title contenders after beating the Chiefs and Saders. They have the Canes in 2 weeks time and if they beat them you'd expect them to finish top of the table. One thing about top of the table, it's really truly open, anyone minus the Blues for NZ could top it. Really nothing in it.

Onto the Canes - I was there and it was a pretty shit game BUT we got the win and the BP so we got all we could take out of that game so not complaining (especially the circumstance). The 5 players that got stood down were around the stadium interacting with the fans which I thought was good. I got a photo with Julian Savea and group pic with Victor Vito and Chris Eves. Cory Jane was around too but I can't say I saw Ardie, I assume he was around somewhere. The Canes weren't actually THAT bad, we should have just scored a lot more than we did. A lot of tries went begging. When we were patient we were actually quite dangerous so some positives out of it but our scrum was a complete piece of shit (after being so good) and we really missed Ardie at the breakdown, that was obvious.

This competition is right open and some teams are starting to make a last run at the playoffs (Tahs, Sharks etc.) so could be interesting to see who gets in. Brumbies looked so good early on but if the Tahs continue their improvement they could very well miss out on the play offs.

    Well done Rego.

The tab site has been a tease all week. I have tried to place multiple bets that have errored out.

They are advertising a 15 point start for the rebels but won't let me bet on it. Something about - event scratched.

I have complained to the TAB help desk. I really want to bet on the rebels game and it is horrible of them to advertise juicy odds and then not let the bet go through.

  8. Rego RS Hutchinson

That's not that juicy. The spread is at 17.

  9. Hurricane JD Hurricane

Fair enough - but they won't even let me bet on 15.5

    Who know's why.

2 or 3 bets of mine have been denied - it has been tough to do with business with them this week. I am ok with them not giving me the greatest odds in the world but at least have an easy to use betting service that doesn't frustrate the customers.

At the end of the day they are a New Zealand and Wellington based company and I want to support them. But they need to be efficient and have good customer service or I will walk to a competitor.

I am like that with supermarkets too. I often don't shop at the cheapest supermarket - but I expect clear aisles, small line ups at the till, and friendly staff even if it costs me an extra $5 a week for the convenience.

Yeah that does seem pretty poor. I've won thousands and for the most part haven't had any issues bar some restrictions with one site. The fact the TAB didn't even have it properly working for a large portion seems poor. I wonder what their sales are like in store compared to online.

    My bets.

I Think my 2nd bet in this weather is already over. The Crusaders will walk this in the wet. By I do think it will be low scoring. So I like my second bet.

I'm surprised you didn't jump on the Blues and the Bulls/ Stormers game. Good odds in those.

  14. Hurricane JD Hurricane

Yeah the Blues is good odds.

I have no idea who will win out of the Stormers vs Bulls

I am slutted off by that McNicholl try. TMO on drugs.

Turnover by Dean Mumm. I hate him in particular. Worst forward in Super Rugby.

Need a try from the tahs...

Just watched the replay. Saders got the win easily but really should have got the BP as well. That try shouldn't have been awarded, that's for sure.

Another solid weekend of Super Rugby, glad the Blues held on - meant another good profiting weekend. Stormers the only incorrect tip and tbf that one could have gone either way. The Bulls lineout was immense.

roll on next week. Took a shower this week. I learned a valuable lesson. Just because the underdog is paying good/excessive odds doesn't mean you should take the underdog.
