Yeah but they can't foresee that sort of thing when they name the bench. Henderson is a great player to have in the squad in case of injury, but there's no need to play two hookers in an NRL game if your first choice hooker is Jake Friend, particularly given the reduced interchange.
Yeah it makes no sense. He sat on the bench for 80 minutes last week when we could've had an extra....anything and actually utilise our full bench.
If both of them were out who's next in line now they don't have Mcilwrick? Would they have to move Nikorima to 9 and bring in one of their lower grade halves? they used Mitch Williams in the 9's they could elevate him I guess
Nah if both their hookers were out they'd definitely play him there. They've got Joe Burgess and Elliott in reserve grade to cover for Copley and your starting hooker is more important than your second rowers. Tetevano would probably slip onto the bench.
I'm not sure but I don't think it matters that much. If it has to be some other cunt to play 15 minutes off the bench then so be it.
Joey Lussick would get first crack. Aussie schoolboy who just graduated NYC after a strong season. Ended up falling in our lap mid season last year because of the Eels salary cap woes. Not that Friend will miss the game but Lussick will likely be named on the bench for Henderson.
