Best bets are he'll come on for a backrower and Bird will shift into the back row. JSL isn't named in NSW Cup so here's hoping he just comes in.
Dragons are pretty underrated imo. They are a very well drilled side. I've liked a lot of McGregor's coaching.
Their goal line defence when the Sharks were attacking was pretty damn good (as it was laast season IIRC). Seem to be lacking creativity and throwing the ball around too much in attack though. Having said that, stupid idea to take the two imo. If you're up against 12 men, why reset your field position back into your own half?
Huge effort to finish the half there. Looks like Cribb is going to be taking some money off you MF :P
There's been too many errors from us but fuck I'm massively encouraged by our attack. The shape looks good and finally we have three genuine last tackle options to back up our forward pack. Maloney is having an absolute shocker and we've still scored 3 tries, happy days.
I honestly think that Cronulla's attack is better without Gallen, so often he stifles attacks by overplaying his hand in potential try scoring sets.
Gallen would be a lot better off reducing his run numbers a bit and making everything of the highest quality. He really should not be touching the ball after 3rd tackle, aside from shovelling it straight on if necessary.
Widdop's biggest failing is he has poor awareness of whats around him. He premeditates so much of his play and ends up taking some really poor options. He's been really poor so far.
It never ceases to amaze me how a team that makes early in-roads through the middle, doesn't even notice and just plays laterally to absolutely no result. Over and over again.
