    Had to look at who wrote the article to see how much bullshit it is. Dont panic lads just another News Limited agenda piece of crap from Rothfield who has no sources.

    He mentions that it will replace the Monday night slot and allow Fox to simulcast more games which doesn't make sense when Fox were pushing for the Monday night slot in the first place.

    I'm sure they were happy so long as they kept exclusive rights for Saturday. As soon as 9 got a game they saw Monday night as a priority as its one of their best drawing games.

    Take away Monday and Saturday exclusivity and Fox wont bite, the remainder of the deal will go to peanuts. The NRL need to make sure Fox want something out of it, it will either be Saturday or Monday or both IMO.

    TV deal signed for somewhere around 1.9-2B in total.

    Starting next year all 8 games will be shown LIVE on Foxsports.

    Starting in 2017 there will be a dedicated NRL channel on Fox, with all 8 games shown LIVE along with QLD Cup & NSW Cup coverage.

    And best of all deal free of any David Gallop negotiated clauses.

    So good. I only heard nrl only channel was 2017 so I'm so, so stoked every game is live next year as well as 17 but without the exclusive channel.
