RWC 2015: Pool A discussion

Australia posting the biggest score of the tourney so far and obviously Wales beating England spells trouble for the hosts imo.

The Aus games irrelevant tbh. They were always going to pound Uruguay.

AWTA, plus it was mostly or a full Australian B team depending on who they select.

They're so short of players now they'll have to call up Dai the spoonmaker and Ivo from the sausage shop.

  5. Magrat Garlick M Garlick

still more creative than Brad Barritt

In news that Howe would have predicted I would be pleased about, Gareth Anscombe has been called up for Wales,

James Hook has also been called up. I hope Gareth gets the nod.

Liam Williams may only miss the Fiji match if he is lucky.

The article didn't bother covering Amos because as I mentioned in one of my earlier posts nobody rates him (this is a joke)

The only Welsh rugby player left unpicked now has to be Gavin Henson.

I am happy to call myself a Brad Barritt fan. I like both him and Eastmond. Both of them have good self awareness and don't try to be super heroes out there.

Imagine if they had Jarrod Payne. You would be in clover.

I dunno how I'd feel about that. He should be playing for the ABs, not anyone else.

Interestingly, to carry on a conversation with myself given Fiery isn't here to converse with, that Wales try was created down Amos's wing and only happened because he wasn't on the field to clunk it up.

Nadolo suspended for Wales match. That could prove decisive. Suspension subject to a Fiji appeal. Can't ever remember an appeal working.

Skelton and Palu out for the tournament in news that will upset ardent Australian fans yet actually help their chances of winning. Skelton has dined out on the fact he monstered the French 18-24 months ago and has done little else since. Palu is inconsistent and has needed a kick up the jacksie for a number of years. Get some mongrel.

Australia will travel better without both.

Agree with you Cane, don't see either injury as much of a lose.

Nadolo missing the Welsh game is huge and hopefully mean Wales should win, c'mon Wales! Then the Aussie just have to get up and a win my two bets and have a good laugh at the English not making the quarters.

    Happy you have come online...

I have two avatar bets for Wales to get up over Aussie... Hopefully Australia get beaten up vs England.

Something you want to discuss in depth?

Haha, I would be happy to see you win those, but I don't think it will happen.

How do you think Anscombe will travel if he gets the start against Fiji?

Nadolo hasn't really been huge for Fiji yet tbh but it's huge in a game like this. Yeah Skelton was actually quite dangerous in Super Rugby, made a big difference in the win against the Canes but has been relatively inefficient at international level for quite sometime.

Not as well as Biggar that's for sure but he'll do the job. Can't see Fiji getting up on this one but it should be physical which could break even more glass - poor Wales.

It's a huge game but you'd probably expect England to play out of their skins at a home WC after their last performance. Nevertheless my flat mates (who don't support rugby) are even gonna get up for this one, so will be nice not watching it alone for once. I do kind of want Aus to win (which I feel like should never be said haha) but would be so good to see. Apparently economists are expecting the UK economy of losing 10 million pounds at least if England bow out.

He was good off the bench in their win over the ABs - but then they went back to giving him 80 minutes and he didn't look the part. Impact player at most. I wouldn't even use him, his lack of jumping ability, and rucking ability, hampers the Wallabies.
