    I'm confused and can't work something out.

    In the last draft, Carlton technically finished 9th/8th?, Collingwood 6th and Richmond 5th.

    So how in the draft did Collingwood get pick #10, and Richmond #12, while Carlton got #13.


    I know Collingwood got #11 compo and traded it for #6, but is there some other trades or something i'm missing?

    Finals affect the draft position, you lasted a week longer than Collingwood/Richmond so therefore you got a worse pick then them.

    Ha I didn't know that. Only ever paid attention to the first couple of draft picks and Carlton who haven't made finals or lost in the first week since 2005.
