Have to agree with the Saili hate. That short kicking game he pulls out is terrible.

It is his only way of beating a player because he doesn't have a side step nor can he just run over the top of someone.

What happened to Robbie Fruean? A few years ago he was being talked up as a future All Black centre.

Freuan had open heart surgery this season. If you guys aren't a fan of picking Saili then who would you rather pick? Nonu won't around for ever and you have like no depth at second five.

We're not entirely fucked. There is depth - just untested depth.

Bundee Aki and Tom Marshall for example. Both had pretty awesome ITM Cup's, with Aki being awesome for the Chiefs. Aki can actually break the line (and did so pretty well for Counties) unlike Saili and Marshall's running and offload game was pretty awesome and he's good defensively too.

Horrell was good for the Chiefs but saw poor form in the ITM Cup.

Calls for Tim Bateman can get fucked also - he's a nothing special player tbh, solid ITM Cup player but not good enough for the ABs and his defence is shaky.

Will be interesting how well Lee-Lo does in the Super 15 this season as well, not AB worthy yet but possibly a something for the future. He showed some class for the Canes this season and tbh would have rather he started over Bateman.

So definitely a few young players coming through. Definitely shouldn't stick with Saili - can't be anyone worse

Richard Kahui is the man, if he can stay fit that is.

I want to make a post about how I see the four nations shaping up this year.
I see the ABs coming back to the pack this year and actually losing at least one game against SA. My reasons - Kieran Read is badly out of form so far, Ritchie may be out of form when he returns from sabbatical and I think the other countries are just getting better.

I don't see Australia being on the same level despite their improvement in the super XV. It is not the fact that will have problems at half back and first 5 and that Cooper can't get the job done...it is that I don't think their coaching or game plans are at the same level of SA and NZ. They are not used to winning and are out of the habit. They will lose by less though.

SA will win their home fixture against us (provided this bizarre quota business doesn't come into effect). I don't see anyone beating us at Eden Park any time soon due to our strong home field advantage though.

Interesting... I actually truly believe we will yet again go unbeaten in the Rugby Championship. It's a long way away and as we have seen from the likes of Dagg and Nonu Super rugby form can somehow mean absolutely nothing once you put that black jersey on. I would put it down to the players they have around them in the All Blacks compared to their super rugby teams.

I also reckon that SA ought to at least win the home fixture against the mighty AB's - as their only loss of the season, in agreement with Hurricane's prediction.

Carter is on sabbatical at the moment ahead of the 2015 World Cup right?

At what point in the future do you seem him being replaced by Cruden/Barrett/Slade permanently in the lineup and which of them do you think it's likely to be?

  16. Jabba HJ Bots

Barrett is by far the best and will get first go cause Crudeness is injured.

  17. Weeman27bob BE Force

Is he likely to be the long time replacement too?

  18. Jabba HJ Bots

Should be. Cruden plays for himself too much.

  19. Droos JP Rhodes

Yeah, Barrett is the best replacement. If he continues on his current trend, Carter would have to be at the top of his game when he comes back to regain his spot.

Barrett is better but if we were down by 15 points at half time I would prefer to have Cruden to mount the comeback.
