It's all the SQL queries. We don't get anywhere near the limit on space or bandwidth on even some of the cheapest plans out there but we massively drain the serve with all the SQL stuff, a lot of which comes from the stats site. It'd be a lot cheaper if it was just a forum with no simming, or even if we had simming but no live games and no stats site.

Gilchrist was excellent as a gloveman. Was the best of the Test circuit for most of his career. Berry was better though, and he's bitter about it.

Berry just has a philosophical position on "you must pick the best gloveman no matter what!!", so even if the best gloveman is Chris Martin standard with the bat and is only 0.0000000000000000001% better with the gloves than the next guy who averages 35, then Berry will pick him.

He obviously disagrees with you on the glove work thing; he thinks Ludeman is the best gloveman in the state (including those who would average < 5 with the bat!) and that's why he's in the side. Being Victorian probably helps his case a bit too I guess; Berry knew him previously. In some ways you're lucky he's as good a batsman as he actually is, you could've been shafted with a #11 bat if you were really unlucky

Hahaha yeah, having Berry as coach definitely messes with your balance because he insists on picking a specialist gloveman to satisfy the inferiority complex he has about his own career.

He genuinely thinks he should've played like 80 Tests or something and Gilchirst should've been selected as a batsman or not at all. Like, straight up.
