Here we are, down to the combo awards for each position. The first one will be the Most Skilled Attacker award. This will go to the player with a combination of most goals, PPGs & assists. The winner is: S Laing, with a total of 11 (9 Goals, 2 PPGs, 0 Assists). Looks like it all comes down to his goal scoring skills, other teams will be looking to up there game in attack next season I would think.
3 good recruits by myself. Managed to pick up Stormer who didn't even intend to play Ice Hockey.. I think, Masters and Gemmell (I was surprised he came in the first place). Masters hasn't won anything. That surprised me. Good work to the other Seahawks though. Contracts extensions anyone
The second of the combination awards is the Ultimate Defender award, which goes to the defender with the most hits and intercepts combined. The winner: BH Borisc, who gets over the line mostly thanks to his 304 hits. He also had 48 intercepts for the season. Congrats to him on his second award of the night. He'll be looking forward to seeing if he's made POTY or one of the D spots for the team of the year.
Nice work again Borisc. I am off for tonight but look forward to reading the rest when I get back on.
The final of the combo awards is The Wall award. This goes to the keeper with the best ratio of goals to saves. The winner of this will be keen to see if they've got the GK position in the team of the year... And the award goes to: Eddide Morris of the Mighty Sharks. he let only 0.541% of shots on target reach the back of the net. What a massive effort from him. Congrats to Eddie.
Now we come to the Team of The Season. These are based of the POTY points. The highest points in each position gets there spot. (D1 is highest D, D2 is second highest). We'll start off with the GK, who is: Shane Masters of the SeaHawks.
Next we'll hand it out to the best defender in the POTY table to fill in the D1 positions. And the winner is... Bobby Blunder of the Falcons!
