Interesting to see that the Gambler's pitch is a batsman's graveyard. Surprised that Gemmell manned up and did that for the good of the team, even if it could cost him his #1 spot.
Had a decent amount of discussion. Low medium as Bullpitt can do well regardless, just like Wilson would do well on 4 spin, and because we're playing spin, but not great spin, to make the gap less between the wilsons and the halletts we had to make it higher.
Our batting can handle it, I don't see many other teams doing very well in the second dig at The Strip. And do you not know how little I care about rankings? I'll always be the best.
I probably would of gone more pace heavy then spin with the Gamblers team. Taylor bowled well on a neutral pitch so a 5 or 6 assistance probably would be alright for him. The fasties are the main strike weapon for them and even though Bullpitt can rip through on pitches that dont suit him, I would have jumped at the chance to give him more venom. Add in Sullo who's not been the player he used to be, giving him more of an advantage would strengthen the lineup. All that said though, its not a bad pitch.
Gemmell should definately stay out of this thread now that he's choosen Morgan as Read's replacement.
