I'm a Premiership fan first and foremost, well mainly because of Arsenal. Outside of Arsenal and the other top 6 sides or so they're soo much rubbish, negative football played that the league as an entirety isn't all that fantastic. Do like European/Continental football though.
Premier League: 12 La Liga: 4 Serie A: 3 Bundesliga: 2 Ligue 1: 1 Turkish Super Lig: 1 Portugese Liga: 1 1 more player to be added. Best getting players from the best league in the world.
I'm the opposite. I find the spanish and the Italian (to less of an extent) leagues fairly boring to watch. Players back right off each other and the games are played at a fairly low tempo. You watch someone like Messi just jogging up toward a defender who abcks right off then doing a little step over to get past him and everyone raves about it. Obviously some of the players have alot of talent, but I find it relatively dull compared to the English game. Love watching players running around all over the place, getting in each others faces, putting in dogged performances and hard tackles. Its what the European game lacks, and soon enough it will be close enough to a non contact game. I sincerely hope the English league never loses it's fierceness and tenacity. Ofc it will though. And that will be a sad, sad day.
Teams like Bolton, Stoke et all piss me off no end with their long ball games. Just horrible, horrible viewing.
I actually love watching Stoke play. The Stoke Wigan game was one of my favourite of the season tbh. Love the Championship too.
How can big hoofs up field and long throws be exciting to watch? I'm not going to say they should play a different way, as they play to their strengths like every side should. I just don't particularly enjoy watching it. The Premiership is a fantastic league for a number of reasons but it has its weaknesses.

Its not that that I enjoy watching. Its the tenacity and throwing yourself in front of the ball in defence I enjoy watching. And actually Delap's throws are great to watch
