Wow, our side is quite strong IMO. 1. Thornton 2. Dover Quality opening partnership. Can be hit and miss at times, lets hope the either both hit each round or hit and miss at the right time . 3. Kirikiri Dont know much about him? Is he active? Could be a weak link. If he is inactive, we could play the inactive Sheehan there. 4. Parker Will have to carry the batting. Lots rest on him if we want to make totals that are defendable. 5. Son 6. Nova Son is a real good up and coming player and if he can repeat his ALC record or close to it, he will add so much both with bat and ball. Nova is coming off a good season, hopefully his form carries over. 7. Con If he gets a start every game, his little chipping in could see us over the line in some games. 8. Jacobs (Self)-Nominated as captain. Mr Disappointment, hoping to do something. The team and himself feel it should be called Jacobside. 9. S Smith Could prove to be too many spinners without a pure spinner. But we are playing out of Turntable Stadium with a pitch that turns and bounces. 10. Denton 11. Humble Juicy fast bowling duo. Very up and down players. Could bowl the opposition out for 100 or both get 0/126.
Yeah, a lot of players in this team have been very inconsistent throughout their careers - capable of taking it to the best players around but also capable of getting dominated by reserve grade plodders and having terrible form slumps. Magic's the exception to the rule.
Really don't rate this side mid-bottom of the table for sure Pros:Thornton,Parker potential to get you a strong start, against weaker bowling lineups the likes of Nova,Son and Dover will also provide solid platform also do bat to 9 which as a bonus for anyside Cons: In order to win this comp you need at least 2 BS bowlers and a fringe BS bowler I don't see that here only one who half resembles this is Jacobs but maybe Denton and Humble might pull something out of there ass.
Yeah I know that but most teams carry atleast 3 BS ready batsmen + an allrounder add into that the fact that there are some good up and coming batsmen in seconds who average high 40s early on in their careers and all of a sudden not having a single quick in your side who is a standard BS bowler makes taking wickets not a certain thing. You better hope Denton or Humble hits form rather quickly or it could be a long tournament.
