The Stickies have a really solid batting lineup. Alessi, Miokovic, Parker is a massively under-rated middle order. Speirs is really solid and Thornton is pretty decent too. Thye need to get a keeper though and they've lacked a match winner in their bowling ranks since season 7.....
Me neither. People forget that when we sorted our squad out last season we only lost 1 game in 8. With an even better batting lineup next season and hopefully our bowling will get better we will be right up there.
Stickies have signed Dover IIRC, and Alessi & Miokovic have talked up going elsewhere, although that might just be morale-boosting.
Well you're an idiot if you cant. A fair chunk of our players had seasons that were below par, and our juniors are only going to improve. And a few of them are already ready for the step up.
AWTA. With the batting with the likes of Miokovic, Parker, Speirs, Alessi and Thornton, Stickies will go alright in Season 9.
Most teams are improving though. The Rays batting will only continue to get better. Berkuta had an awesome season after a few shit ones. Big Man broke through into firsts finally and averaged 40. Hornby's never really had a solid run as a pure batsman and Dafter will only get better.
Maybe thats becasue they're on the way out. The players who had poor seasons aren't the most active. Maybe they just arent as good as they once were. I class Short in that bracket. He will average little over half of what Gemmell averaged last season.
