Flanagan went MIA, our last tackle plays were horrendous all night. I don’t dislike the guy but if you’re in the team as a halfback and you’re not creating anything at least put some polish to end of sets and try to organise the team a bit. Big risk putting Lam in though, we only got to see him for one game there before he got injured.

You’re right about SBW, he’s shown enough in his return to suggest he’s still capable it’s just time and match sharpness that he’s lacking.

Just feels like we’ve almost run out of time to figure out the right 17.

Kikaus got to wake the fuck up in defence. Tyrone May needs to stay on the bench bar injury.

  3. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

I noticed him a few times. Just the times he was really shit, but I still noticed him.

Penrith crowd played a role in the win last night.
Good for them for gearing up their team

This may be a dumb comment from a kiwi
But I have a small hunch Newcastle could do a boil over

Is that lame? Are they no chance?

  6. Jake A Pimpkins

of course they're a chance. around at 27% chance according to the current sportsbet price.

A bits being made about Penrith just getting over the line v Rooters. I think they will take a lot from the fact they were down 10 zip in ten minutes and didn't implode at all, did what they do and did enough.

That Angus Crichton try was very soft, kikau kept turning in all night to leave Luai 1 on 1, other rosters try scrappy.

I'm a huge Whare fan so am probably bias, but I'm not convinced with Too on the wing when Mansour is on the other, you've got rocks or diamonds on both sides. Much prefer the size of naden out there to compete in the air with whares positioning inside.

You can see they still lack experience around closing games out. They started celebrating the win after the Stephen Crichton try and then again after the field goal.

Will come with experience still a very green group of players. Probably learnt a bit of a lesson last night.

For that reason I find it a little hard to get a read on the game whether the Roosters come back was a factor of a drop off from the Panthers or the Roosters just grew into the game because the Roosters largely controlled that 2nd half outside of a ridiculous Tupou offload and that Fisher Harris charge down Panthers really struggled to get prolonged periods of time in good ball during the 2nd half.

Probably leaning more towards Penrith were the better side when it mattered and dropped off a touch when they went 18pts ahead.

Knights are very similar to Parra, showed a lot in the first half of the comp but just fell away sharply.

Souths have had a better 2nd half to the season and Bennett seems to have them primed.

I think if Knights get behind early their lips will drop and Souths will coast it. But the big thing I can't get past is that Knights have Pearce and Ponga. Those guys will play out of their skins tommorow night.
Roosters vs Panthers was a classic last night but "Hurricane's game of the round" is Kinghts vs Souths.
I have played playoffs with cricket and my whole team got amped...Pearce will go next level tomorrow and if a certain Kalyn Ponga wants to live up to the headlines written about him then tomorrow is the day.
I will be glued to my seat. This could be epic and career defining for a number of players on show (some poetic license here).

Geez Braith Anasta is going to be hard to stomach this finals series.

Despite really enjoying streaming from Kayo this year I may switch back to 9 for the finals.

Kane Evans defensive work in that Papenhuyzen try is criminal for a first grader.

How he is still in the top grade is beyond me.

Could've been such a good player, just so lazy and clumsy.

Yeah as soon as Paulo and RCG go off our defence goes to absolute shit (or more shit given our right side is always pretty trash). He misses so many tackles and/or just gives away 6 agains because he just hangs on and then tries to assert some form of dominance in the tackle to not look like a total shit cunt.

lol Eels fans around the world all just registered minor heart attacks watching Ferguson waiting to put the grubber down.

  15. Magic AJ Parker

2 minutes later Ferguson gives every Parra fan another heart attack trying to defuse a bouncing ball on the other end of the field.

Somewhere in the world SKD is sitting there a proud mentor.

Sounds inspiring for us Warriors Fans given we have Kane next year
Let’s hope a change of coach fixes him

Jesus was that Kane Evans with the miss?

Refs are going to have to sit down and sort out this six again stuff if they don't want to completely fuck the rest of the finals series. Melbourne and Penrith have managed to get the six again calls down to a fine art so far.

  19. AVA T Delonge

Honestly, he's the exact type of player that the old Warriors would get who phones it in for 3 seasons and pockets the cash. Hopefully your new coach can make a cultural change there.

Guthesron had to do better then on Brenko Lee... its finals time ffs put your body on the line.
