Now I've gone through and done the stats of my 17 players over the last 3 years I've realised that I had one absolute shocker. Worst = Round 12:I picked Vaughn van Jaarsveld in round 12 over VVS Laxman. Didn't think Laxman would really work out but FMD I wish I'd have taken him now. Best: Probably the Round 2 & 3 combo of Jadeja and Woakes which just gave me plenty of options from there on in. I also think Dinesh Karthik is a pretty gun round 13 pick up. Leaving the keeper that late meant I built up options elsewhere first and still ended up with a bloke that won't be the worst kleeper batsman.
Would rate our Sachin and Harris picks pretty highly. Harris at #14 in R1 was a steal, and Sachin in R5 is just lulz. Worst would be Sayers I guess, could have done better at the time.
Best: Toffee Kumar in R13 was pretty good. Hendricks and Yadav have the potential to be steals, but probably not yet. Worst: Michael Lumb in R9 was kinda lazy, quite a few better #3's at the time in hindsight. Tahir could go either way too.
Fucking chatara over behrendorff. Missed out on one of my fave bowlers for virtually no reason. Abdv over vern too, obv
Yeah I reckon Murali/Burns were the picks that really helped to keep your side competitive despite your first two picks being your "worst"
Best - Smith and Ballance round 3/4 was pretty gun IMO also getting Hazlewood in like round 12 was good. Worst - prob Vilas or Bailey. Still got blokes I was looking at after but could have held off in hindsight.
Haddin wasn't a bad one in general. Already having dhoni made it a shocker seeing keeping skills aren't a big thing.
Best Sangakkara, Chapple or Davies Worst De Lange, he was a last minute replacement for Abbott and there was a communicative failure over whether he had a similar record (he does not)
Magoffin and Rishi Dhawan probably my worst. Could've had Abbott and Dhawan was maybe a round or two early. Reckon best were Kusal and Kaushal. Dudes to be opening for SL in 2015. ninjai Mitch at #16 not looking so bad anymore either.
Genuinely no idea about the stats of any of my team, but I'd probably say Marsh as my worst and Bravo as my best.
Hall wasn't your worst pick IMO. He went a few rounds too soon but he could make every team probably. Is jusssssst good enough with both bat and ball. Would've been gun at about round 10.
Haha yeah the Senana one was funny. You taunting me about picking someone at round 5. Then finding out I was nowhere near picking him up again.
