To avoid having loads of people asking me when Season 3 contracts are opening, they'll be open as soon as everything is ready for them to be open. Unfortunately I cannot do all the stuff by myself that is required for the contracts to be opened, so I cannot say how long it will take. So if people harass me about it then you'll just get infracted for it. When the contracts do open up each club will be limit to 16 players to begin with (club Presidents will automatically come off the 16, but will still be required to post a contract). I will not increase that amount until everyone has 16 players. At that point I will increase the limit to 21 players. If everyone can get to that level, then it will be be unlimited. The second piece of news is that there will be post ranks introduced for SoccerSim Season 3, that will add another element for deciding how good people are. Unfortunately due to an error with old sub-forums it cannot be retrospective and will begin for Season 3. Which is part of the reason I can't just open up contracts now. Like with Seasonal Rugby, if you are just spamming to increase your rank you will receive penalties. So for club's recruitment looking at how active people are likely to be is another element that should be considered.
Have you enquired about a Football sub forum like the Seasonal Rugby system? Sounds good though can't wait.
I can't work out if this is a troll or not. It would get at least as much use as Union subbie, probably a good amount more.
I disagree - I think people who support the sim itself shouldn't be disadvantaged by their lack of support for the sport itself. I'd never have an AFL board count towards aflsim postcounts purely because the lads who know sfa about it but still like the sim are pretty important to the sim - so why shaft them. Same applies here, IMO.
If the others are keen they can still contribute in match threads and the team subbies. It's hardly shafting them as such but more rewarding activity in the the concerned sports' subforum. Anyways, don't really care whether it counts in terms of post ranks etc.. but would be gun to have a Soccer / Association Football sub forum in general. Don't think it takes that much time to create on VBulletin either. Edit - Only referring to a Proper Subforum here, not a Subforum in a Subforum if it doesn't count towards post counts.
