I have assigned AU$10 to the worth of the entire forum's vCash. If CricSim earns money through other means (advertising, donations etc) it'll be added to that. Here is an automatically updating vCash currency value page: http://www.cricsim.com/value.php You may redeem your vCash for real money, however it will only be sent via PayPal and any fees must be taken out of the final sum, meaning I don't think anyone currently has enough vCash to make any sort of profit at all.
Hmmm. Not sure about this idea tbh. Not sure I'm happy being a bookie with proper money on here; I don't really want to have to put that much thought into it. So, I think this will be the end of betting for Seasonal Rugby.
Well I wouldn't let you go into negatives and end up owing money, so it'll cost you absolutely nothing. And as it stands, the most it could theoretically earn anyone if they had ~ 100% of the vCash on the forum would be $10 minus PayPal fees. So I think that's a slight over-reaction.
Nah, but things get serious when they're worth money. The books have been difficult to manage as it is, and that's with people betting for fun, I don't see that this will improve things when there's a perception of a value bet. I just don't want to have to invest more time trying to balance my books when simming takes long enough as it is.
Look, I'll see how it goes, but I think you'll end up with some fuckers taking things too far. Personally, I think there should be a maximum bet value brought in, but the software is the limitation.
Yeah, I still think the fact that no-one could actually own more than $10 as it stands means no-one will take it too seriously, but I see your point. The maximum bet at the moment would be the entirety of Eggman's vCash, which is $1.11. And even if Eggman bet $1.11 on something paying 1000-1 and won that bet, he'd still only have $10 because the bookie would go broke and there'd be immediate hyperinflation.
I haven't decided how club vCash will work at all yet. It can't effect something that doesn't have a definite plan. Club vCash would naturally just cause more inflation though.
