He got knocked back by the Broncos cause he went to the trials trying to be a 6.

Watch more football shit heads. He's setup that many tries already this season with his passing game it's not funny.

He's not a five eighth - he doesn't deliver the ball. The majority of his passes are flat cut-outs thrown at speed, there's always going to be stuff ups but more often than not it's golden.

NB: Only saw the last 5 minutes of tonights game.

  6. KimmorleyKiller XX Meister

Who the FUCK told you that?

  7. KimmorleyKiller XX Meister

He wasn't signed as a junior, he quit football after 15's then came back and trialled successfully first shot for Norths (which were Melbourne's feeder club).

    For the record.

Hook is the man TBH. So glad he is in charge.

Griffin sticks by choice to rest wounded stars

COACH Anthony Griffin last night defended his decision to stand down three superstars by saying Brisbane would have been the "dumbest club in the world" to let Darren Lockyer, Justin Hodges and Sam Thaiday play in the thrilling loss to Melbourne.
But a fourth Broncos Test player, Ben Hannant, told ABC radio before kick-off he had asked to back up in the round nine epic, which the Storm secured with a late Cooper Cronk field goal followed by a converted Anthony Quinn try.<noscript> <iframe id="dcAd-1-3" src="http://ad-apac.doubleclick.net/adi/onl.smh.sport/rugby/leaguematchreport;cat1=leaguematchreport;cat=rugby;ctype=article;pos=3;sz=300x250;tile=3;ord=920125.0?" width='300' height='250' scrolling="no" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" allowtransparency="true" frameborder="0"> </iframe> </noscript>

Under solid questioning about his decision to include only Jharal Yow Yeh from the platoon of Broncos who played in Australia's 20-10 win over New Zealand the previous evening at Skilled Park, Griffin said: "I just want to make the point: Justin Hodges and Sam Thaiday and Darren Lockyer couldn't back up.

"If we force them to back up and injure them, we're the dumbest club in the world, you know?
"They've got genuine injuries and if they back up we risk losing them for long periods of time. We weren't foxing all week. We sent that team to do a job tonight and we came up short.
"Justin's missed a year last year. He's got hamstring problems. He had a back spasm the day before the game. He's got ongoing hamstring and Achilles problems. Sam Thaiday's got osteopubis. If we ask him to play two games in two days, he's going to miss two or three games somewhere where we don't want him to.
"Darren Lockyer's taken a bad cork into the Test on Friday night and was battered and bruised this morning."
"We had a team out there that with seven minutes to go was 22-all. We had a chance to win the game, it didn't matter who we had there."

Yow Yeh told the Sun-Herald he had also been given the opportunity to stand down.

Melbourne captain Cameron Smith said: "We weren't in the same position the Broncos were - sitting on top of the table and they could afford to rest a couple of their players, bring in some fresh guys and afford that loss. We needed to get out there and play. We've got a fair few injuries to some of our starting players. We all got through last night's game fine."

Coach Craig Bellamy said he did not have the option of resting players but given that Cronk's role in kicking a 40m field goal with three minutes remaining could have been decisive, he said: "When you've got Smith, Cronk and Slater in the side, they're going to come up with a little bit of brilliance at some stage. That could have been the difference.
"These guys wanted to back up - they always do - but basically tonight they had to back up," said Bellamy, who tried to talk Adam Blair out of playing. Bellamy said the Storm had so many injuries, they almost needed to ask the NRL for dispensation to call someone in from outside their squad.

Melbourne scored the first two tries through Dane Neilsen and City-Country man of the match Ryan Hinchcliffe to take an early stranglehold on the contest. But tries to New Zealand squad member Gerard Beale - who didn't make Stephen Kearney's final 17 - either side of halfway lifted the big crowd.

Melbourne struck once more with tries in the space of three minutes to Sisa Waqa and Cooper Cronk but the youthful Broncos were not deterred. England-born Jack Reed beat five defenders on a weaving, bumping run to the line and Dane Gagai's touchdown off a Peter Wallace kick was nothing short of spectacular. It was 22-22 for six minutes before the drop goal and then another 90 seconds before Quinn beat Neilsen - just - in an in-goal scramble.

MELBOURNE 29 (C Cronk R Hinchcliffe D Nielsen A Quinn S Waqa tries C Smith 4 goals C Cronk field goal) bt BRISBANE 22 (G Beale 2 D Gagai J Reed tries C Parker 3 goals) at Suncorp Stadium. Referee: Shayne Hayne, Tony De Las Heras. Crowd: 34,175.

I think if parker makes that final conversion and we lead 22-20, we win. I thought they looked a little deflated after cronk kicked that field goal. Not taking anything away from the storm btw, great game. Parker and Wal were standouts for me

  10. jazman84 JM Eightyfour

24-22 tbh but I agree with you. Has parker ever got a kick to win or send a game to extra time? I know he has missed a few

  11. Harry Sack SB Slippy

My bad on the score. I don't think he has actually. Was disappointed we didn't get to see The Baptiste. I doubt he would have made a difference, just wanted to see how he goes at first grade.

  12. Cribbage RG Cribb

Harry Sack, can you please get an avatar, join a CricSim team or both? :p

Your postbit sidebar thing looks so crap as it is.

  13. Andato BJT Manera

Should join the Gamblers. We are full of Broncos supporters.

  14. Harry Sack SB Slippy

Lol, will do when I get to a computer. On iPhone

    Sack to join the Gamblers.

  16. Old Mate M Perry

Exactly what I said right before he kicked, always seems to fuck up the big important kicks like that. Would've preferred anyone kick, probs Wallace.

  17. Old Mate M Perry

I actually rated Hunt's performance tonight, thought the whole team really played alright. Loved the runs Macca was taking out of dummyhalf before passing off, and the kick he pulled out which led to a Slater error.

But yeah, luckiest side in the comp.

  18. jazman84 JM Eightyfour

Right edge defence of YowYeh and Gagai was horrid. YowYeh did his rush in thing way too often.

  19. Alec AD Funkotron

Apparently after the game Smith spent about 5 mins giving McCullough some pointers or something.

  20. Andato BJT Manera

Help out a fellow qlder....or future team mate :)
