They've got GWS in two weeks, if they lose that game I reckon he's gone. It's harsh, but they're a rabble. Have Jade Rawlings takeover as caretaker, then throw the book at experienced coaches like Paul Roos, Rodney Eade etc Let Sheedy have another interview if it comes to that
The players are soft because they've been coached poorly. They're lacking structure, movement and idea on the field. They need an experienced match day coach/assistant with experience at successful club to come in, and they need to shuffle it around so Craig has a more involved role in player development as he's fucking good at it. It's too early to sack a coach, but come round 14-15 I think Neeld is gone.
There's probably a couple players on the Melbourne list who could maybe be called soft. But alot of them are playing soft due to poor coaching. Viney, Jamar, Clark, Frawley, Grimes, Jones, Sylvia etc are definitely not soft players.
Yep. In two weeks he will. Come seasons end, Craig will be head coach IMO. We saw what we can do with a bunch of players at Adelaide. I think he'd be able to instill some values into that team
Neeld won't be there at the end of the year. The clubs fucked, So many things they need to do to get it right. A standalone VFL team would be a good start.
I don't think Craig wants to be head coach. That said I think he'd be the perfect coach. He's not a fantastic matchday coach but he makes players take pride, keeps them fit and honest and knows how to develop kids. A bit like the dogs' coach, McCartney, he's a very good transition/development phase head coach.
not Neelds fault, the players he was to work with are shit, what will Rawlings do better the Neeld hasn't ?
