They could easily pick up Gawn too. He's had a taste of AFL football but he'll only play if Jamar or Clark are injured.
I think there's space for Gawn in the Demons lineup, honestly. It's pretty much him v an extra crumber. They don't have a good crumber to play. x - Dawes - x x - Clark - Gawn Jamar - x - x Advantages: Gawn subs for Jamar in the ruck; Clark stays forward so there are always 2 targets Extra tall target to bring the ball to ground. Beats a shit crumber who'll be beaten by their man Talls get extra rest on the bench If theres an injury to a key defender Clark can cover them and they still have 2 key fwds instead of either going a tall down in the fwd line or getting a small back to take a key fwd Disadvantages: One less crumber One less midfield rotation potentially.
Could possibly work if Hogan doesn't play. Although if they get a good offer they'd definitely consider.
yeh all changes when hogan comes in although hogan can play chb pretty well. would be pointless though.
One year on the list and Dan Currie looks set to leave at the end of the year. Dan Gorringe also likely to see what offers he can get elsewhere. Jared Polec, Patrick Karnezis and Aaron Cornelius all will attract interest from other clubs.
Still lots of talk about Gumby. Sheedy says he wants to get 3 established talls to the club, before he leaves. Something along those lines.
Gumby and Pears/Hooker. Gumby will get at least 5 offers at the end of the season IMO. He just wants to play AFL, so anywhere really. GWS/GC on the cards, possibly Brisbane if Luey leaves
Heard an interview he had wouldn't have been more than a week or two ago where he was saying he was hoping to open up contract talks in the 2nd half of the year and repay the faith the club has shown in him.
Ah fair enough. He's far from gone. But with the constant scarcity of good rucks I wouldn't be shocked if he got an offer or two.
Yeah, but what club would he go to where he could get a game. If he's not getting one behind Goldstein/Daw, He wouldn't go to Geelong for example.
He was knocking down the door for selection and felt he was one more good game away from making them pick him until he fucked his thumb and needed the 6 weeks off after surgery.
Dal Santo will leave imo. Watters has changed his tune on the topic so quickly in the space of two weeks. Would be keen on him if we can't get Cooney.
